Executive Summary

Providing design, delivery and facilitation, Ian has worked with Center for Creative Leadership^© (CCL^©) clients across Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia (including India) and the USA, as well as with CCL International partners such Future Generation Foundation (FGF) in Egypt, and the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa.

Ian is currently a Leadership Solutions Associate member of the Senior Faculty Team operating out of CCL’s EMEA office. He is based in London, UK and delivers both open enrolment and bespoke client programs around the world. These include CCL’s premier Leadership Development Program (LDP®) and a wide range of custom programs. Ian has worked with clients in the luxury chocolate industry, famous hotel brands, a range of banks & financial organizations, various engineering firms, fast moving retail goods, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, construction, automotive and many more. He is also the master trainer at CCL for the ActeeChange simulation which helps clients to embrace the challenge of leading change more effectively.

Background and Industry Experience

With a decade of senior management experience spanning public and private sectors, Ian brings a wealth of knowledge to CCL. Over the past 15 years, he has operated his own interim management, training, and coaching business, serving a diverse range of sectors including Telecoms, IT, Banking, Insurance, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, and various government services.

Ian’s career began in engineering, and he has over 16 years of experience successfully managing teams, projects, and programs within the telecom and IT industries. He has held pivotal roles, such as the Head of Internet Access Services at Energis (Cable and Wireless), where he led teams in building the company’s Internet business infrastructure. In addition, Ian has managed multi-million-pound telecoms infrastructure programs and aircraft upgrades for the UK’s Royal Air Force.

Current Role

Ian is a Leadership Solutions Associate and a member of the Senior Faculty Team at CCL’s EMEA office, with 15 years+ delivering both open enrollment and bespoke client programs worldwide.

Ian’s extensive expertise lies in designing and delivering leadership development experiences for senior leaders at global companies with experience spanning a wide range of industries, including paint and coatings, mining, semiconductors, beverages, hospitality, online travel services, fragrances and flavors, engineering, pharmaceuticals, furniture retail, finance, trading, business services, steel production, medical devices, oil and gas, fast-moving consumer goods, automotive, building and construction, chemicals, logistics, and tobacco. His portfolio includes prestigious firms like Anglo-American, Coca-Cola, Louis Dreyfus Company, and Rio Tinto. This wealth of experience positions Ian uniquely to deliver impactful leadership development solutions at CCL.

Drawing from his engineering and operational business background, Ian’s facilitation approach enables participants to discover their true leadership talents.

Education, Publications and Professional Affiliations

With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath (UK) and professional qualifications in both project and program management, Ian has developed a very practical approach to leading people, projects and change. Ian is a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology (IET) and is certified in FIRO-B®, WorkPlace Big Five™, Hogan assessments, CCL 360-degree assessments, Change Style Indicator™, Influence Style Indicator®, Leadership Network Diagnostic™ among others.
